Muslim Saleem

Mr Muslim Saleem who was born at Anjhi Shahabad in Hardoi district of India and brought up and education in Aligarh is a great Urdu poet & short story writer and Urdu, Hindi and English journalist. At present Muslim Saleem resides in Bhopal and is Chief Copy Editor of Hindustan Times English daily from Bhopal. Though none of Muslim Saleem's collection of poetry or short stories has been published, yet he has published his Ghazals and short stories in various prestigious magazines and news papers including Sha'ir, Ahang, Agahi, Naya Daur, Asri Adab, Awaz etc. His short story 'Nangi Sadak Par' was aired by Urdu Majlis of All India Radio in 1979. Muslim Saleem's collection of Ghazals named 'Amad Amad' is going to the published by Madhya Pradesh Urdu Academy soon. He has contributed as poet, feature writer and short story writers to AIR Allahabad and Bhopal. He is the only journalist who has written news and articles in three languages including English, Urdu and Hindi. He is the grandson of famous Urdu critic and philospher Khalifa Abdul Hakeem and son of great poet Dr Saleem Wahid Saleem. Muslim Saleem has also the uncanny ability of tranlations maintaining the true spirit of the translated matter. In the serious two books, both by RMP Singh can be mentioned. These books are 'Wings Beneath the Wings' and 'Raja Bhoja, a Polymath King'.
